River End Games is a new-ish development studio made up of developers that previously worked on games such as Battlefield, Little Nightmares, Mirror's Edge, and Unravel. This past week during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, River End Games showed off their upcoming title, Eriksholm: the Stolen Dream.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is an upcoming narrative stealth adventure game. Together with publisher Nordcurrent Labs, River End Games revealed the debut trailer for Eriksholm. This is a single player title that blends stealth mechanics with an immersive story that takes place in the aptly named city of Eriksholm.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is looking at a 2025 release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. On the PC side, the game will be sold through Steam and the Epic Games Store and can be wishlisted across all platforms right now.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a character-driven single-player game set in the titular Eriksholm — a fictitious city in a world with a Nordic-inspired, early 1900s aesthetic. Players will navigate through the densely detailed streets and dreary underground of the city of Eriksholm, utilizing each of the game’s three playable protagonists’ unique skills, tools, and weapons to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles. A top-down 3D perspective delivers a carefully constructed design balance between adventure and stealth that lets players savor the beauty of Eriksholm while also providing a field of view to strategize their next actions.

Key Features of Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream:
    • Narrative Adventure: Join Hanna's adventure through Eriksholm on her quest to find her brother and uncover the mystery behind his disappearance. Venture into stunning landscapes in a gripping story where every second counts as Hanna strives to reunite her family.
    • Distinctive Characters: Switch between three unique characters, and utilize their unique abilities to access new areas, overcome various challenges and puzzles, and outsmart your enemies.
    • Strategic Gameplay: Observe guard behaviors, use environmental cues, and find clever solutions to overcome obstacles. Scout environments carefully, use cover and stealth, and employ diversion tactics to evade detection.
    • Vibrant World: Explore the fictitious world of Eriksholm, a place of beauty, hardship, and adventure, heavily inspired by the Nordic cities of the 1900s.

Development was probably more fun than making yet another Battlefield.

Angry Birds Dream Blast Now Available for iOS and Android
    by Shawn Zipay

Today marks the release for Rovio Entertainment's Angry Birds Dream Blast. Unlike pretty much every other entry in the Angry Birds franchise, this one is a "casual tap-to-match puzzle game." You're popping bubbles in this one.

Do people still play Angry Birds? I assume so if they're still making new games for them, but I just haven't heard much about any of them in a while.

"Time-to-fun?" I feel like that should be a new requirement...

All because Le Monde would not give up the anonymity of its sources.

Quantic Dream's David Cage and Guillaume de Fondaumière, the leaders of Quantic Dream, have successfully sued the French newspaper Le Monde for libel. The outlet had initially claimed that work environment within Quantic Dream was toxic and employees were suffering as a result of alleged toxicity. The reports said that the studio forced crunch on employees and harbored a schoolboy culture that included sexist and...
