The open beta for the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds is now live through Steam. This will give everyone a chance to check out the upcoming action-RPG ahead of its release. This beta offers three different components to check out and will end on Monday, November 3 at 7PM (PT).
The three parts you can check out in this open beta include character creation, story trial, and Doshaguma Hunt. Details on all three of these components can be see in this Steam posting.
The beta offers support for both solo and co-op play, just as will be the case with the full game. Those that try the open beta will unlock a pendant to use in the full game. Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Environments within the Forbidden Lands can drastically change as the weather shifts constantly and suddenly. During the harsh Fallow and perilous Inclemency periods, ravenous monsters will venture out to hunt in packs, yet during the Plenty periods, wildlife is rich and abundant.

The monsters who inhabit these environments have been forced to adapt to the dynamic changes that occur, using their unique characteristics to survive and thrive.
Hunting
As the world around them changes, so must the hunters and their tactics. Not only will hunters have a multitude of weapons and armor to choose from, but the art of the hunt itself has evolved as hunters learn to anticipate monsters’ behavior and familiarize themselves with their environment.
