Yellow Brick Games announced that Game Pass subscribers will get access to their new third-person action-adventure fantasy game, Eternal Strands, on day one. Eternal Strands is currently targeting a release in Q1 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC along with this newly announced Game Pass release. The PC release will be on places like Steam and Epic Games Store.
Eternal Strands is from Yellow Brick Games, a studio founded in 2020 by Thomas Giroux, Jeff Skalski, Mike Laidlaw, and Frédéric St-Laurent B. You may recognize some of these names for the work they did for franchises such as Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Watch Dogs, and Assassin's Creed.
In Eternal Strands, you will utilize different elements, physics, and the environment to engage in combat and solve puzzles. It looks a lot like a combination of some Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild traversal and Shadow of the Colossus style enemy types.

Hurl burning tree trunks at enemies with telekinetic powers, snap nearby trees to block opposing fire, or channel raw telekinetic force to rip boulders from the ground.

Wear the Mantle, a magical cloak that channels raw magic into raging flame, chilling ice, and telekinetic force. Combine your growing array of powers with enchanted weapons and armor crafted from slain enemies to create a custom look and style. Block incoming attacks with a wall of magical ice, lash out waves of flame from a massive two-handed blade, or toss enemies off a cliff with raw force.
