The latest Ubisoft financials shared some juicy information today. First, we learned that Assassin's Creed Shadows is coming to Steam day and date with other platforms in February 2025. Also included is word that the newly released Star Wars Outlaws is headed to Steam on November 21, 2024.
Star Wars Outlaws released on August 30, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and while it was also released on PC it was released only through Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store. This date means that the Steam release is coming less than three months since the initial release.
Ubisoft admits that sales of Star Wars Outlaws "proved softer than expected." They continue on to say that they are already working on a "series of updates to polish and improve the player experience in order to engage a large audience during the holiday season." These planned updates are being made in response to player feedback the studio has received about Outlaws.
Despite the disappointing initial sales, Ubisoft says that with these upcoming updates, they see Star Wars Outlaws as being "a strong long-term performer."
