As spotted by twistedvoxel.com, Capcom has been busy working behind the scenes on some updates for Steam titles that were previously delisted due to requiring the long dead Games for Windows Live (GFWL).
SteamDB.com shows that Capcom has been steadily updating various aspects of a handful of titles. Updates range from new, higher resolution images for game logos, banner images, and Steam store artwork for games. The games include: Ultra Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter X Tekken, Lost Planet 2, and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
Besides the artwork updates, there have been several build and depot updates made to these titles. Most of these updates have happened over about the past week.
The last time Capcom did this was back in February 2023 when they made similar changes to Resident Evil 5 on Steam. Resident Evil 5 was another Capcom title that utilized GFWL before they updated it to remove the requirement and have it work natively with Steam Friends. Though nothing has been announced yet, this could be a good indication that these titles will return soon to Steam without Games for Windows Live.
