  • Red Dead Redemption PC Port Teased by PlayStation

    It's only taken 14 years...
A cowboy in the Old West walking down a dirt road in town.

A PC port of Red Dead Redemption might actually be coming soon. According to a PlayStation Store listing, Red Dead Redemption is claimed to be "now on PC."

That may be true in some other dimension, but it certainly doesn't apply to ours. The PlayStation Page was "fixed" a short while later but not before the "now on PC" part was shared far and wide across these series of tubes. The little mistake by PlayStation earlier today does seem like something may be happening soon though.

The store page was shared through social media by Wario64.

"Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation — now on PC for the first time ever."

"Featuring the complete single-player experiences of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound."
The description also makes sure that you're aware that there is no multiplayer content included in the release. This was probably a very safe assumption given that the 2023 console releases also removed the really fun multiplayer modes from the original release of the game. Still, some Red Dead Redemption on PC is better than no Red Dead Redemption on PC.

Today's mention of a PC port follows another cheeky little leak back in May 2024. People checking out the source for the Rockstar Games website saw mentions of a Red Dead Redemption PC port as well.

Why would any of this information on the supposed PC port appear on the PlayStation Store? Would this PC release be on Steam and other PC storefronts or will Rockstar make it exclusive to their own launcher for some bizarre reason? Your guess is as good as mine on all of this. Hopefully we get some answers real soon about finally getting Red Dead Redemption on PC.
