House Flipper 2 just launched today featuring new graphics, updated and new gameplay mechanics, a new Sandbox mode, over 1700 unique items, and a new story campaign to play through. This cozy sequel to the cozy original game can be yours for $39.99 (USD) when purchased for the PC through Steam.
Like the original House Flipper, players will once again take to renovating a number of run-down houses. This time, the flipping takes place in the three visually unique areas of Pinnacove. Familiar gameplay mechanics are still in the game, but now players have new tools to help with connecting lights, cleaning, painting, decorating, and even some advanced customization for furniture.
The game's new Sandbox mode allows players to freely design and build unique structures. If you don't like something, you can always demolish it, think up a new design, and get back to building your ideal house. Even better, you can apparently share these creations with the world.
To that end, the developers have teamed up with both AMD and Mod.io for a little contest for House Flipper 2 fans. The contest involves creating and sharing "your best creations interpreting how Robinson Crusoe might live if he had unlimited resources to build his dream home on a desert island."
The first place prize is a custom miniature home PC that includes a working living room TV (that you can apparently actually play House Flipper 2 on), and a coolant-filled shower. The PC comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D CPU, 32GB RAM, and Radeon RX 7900XTX GPU.
