Pinocchio fans are eating good tonight.

Developer Round8 Studio and publisher of Lies of P, Neowiz, just confirmed that not only are they working on DLC content for Lies of P, they are also working on a full sequel. A new video features game director Jiwon Choi, in which Choi talks about what to expect for Lies of P in the near future.

Also included in this new video to fans, is word that there will be a new balance patch for the game coming shortly. At some point in November, an update will bring "significant changes to weapon and character balance." There will also be some quality-of-life adjustments that will ease the difficulty of the early stages of the game.

Players that own the game will also get a free new outfit along with a new feature that will let players equip glasses and hats separately. When released, the patch notes will be found here, and details on the new DLC will be coming soon.

The new video shows only a couple of glimpses at concept art for the Lies of P DLC. As for the sequel, all we know is that the development team is working on it. Choi said, "Our highest priority is developing the DLC and working on our sequel." Word about new content in this universe should not come as any surprise to those who have beaten Lies of P and the fact that the game has proven to be quite the success story.

Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action Souls-like game set in the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat. Once a beautiful city, Krat has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. Play as a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally become human. Lies of P presents an elegant world filled with tension, deep combat and character customization systems, and a gripping story with interesting narrative choices where the more lies told, the more human P becomes. Just remember: in a world filled with lies, no one can be trusted…
