Two new models of gaming mice with up to 8KHz polling rates.

Glorious Gaming, a designer and manufacturer of PC gaming hardware, just announced their next-gen gaming mice today. They announced the Model O 2 Pro and Model D 2 Pro gaming mice that come in not two but four different flavors: Model O 2 Pro, Model O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition, Model D 2 Pro, and Model D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz Edition.

Starting at $99.99 (USD), the updated Pro Series includes some nice improvements over their older lineup of mice. The mice are now lighter than before, with the O 2 Pro coming in at just 57g, D 2 Pro at 60g, O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz at 59g, and the D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz comes in at 62g. These new mice do not go with the perforated design, which would have reduced the weight further, in an effort to "provide a better grip during long gaming sessions."

These mic also include new Optical Switches with a 0.2ms response time. Each mouse is rated for 100 million clicks. Each Pro Series mouse includes a BAMF 2.0 26K sensor that supports up to 26,000 DPI, 640 IPS (inches per second) speeds, and something they're calling Motion Sync technology to "deliver flawless tracking."

The 4K/8KHz models for both the O and D can go from 2KHz to 4KHz wirelessly, or up to 8KHz while wired.

The big different between the O and D models is down to the physical design of the mouse. Both the Model O 2 Pro and O 2 Pro 4K/8KHz are designed for ambidextrous use. The D 2 Pro and D 2 Pro 4K/8KHz models are more ergonomic but only for those right-handed mouse users out there. The internals are the same between the O and D models.

Each mouse can be customized using the Glorious Core software. You will be able to fully customize and fully remap any of the buttons on these mice through this software. You can also set your DPI preferences in the app.
