Those who bought the Silver or Gold editions of Payday 3 are able to start playing right now, a whole three days ahead of its "official" release on September 21. This Early Access release of Payday 3 does grant full access to the game ahead of the 21st. Meaning that if you and three buddies all bought the more expensive versions of the game, you could be heisting right this second.
There is a rather big jump in price between the bog standard version at $39.99 (USD) and the Silver Edition at $69.99. Then there's the Gold Edition that jumps up to $89.99 but obviously comes with more extras than Silver. So, it's up to you whether or not you feel like waiting for the 21st to start playing or pony up at least $70 to start playing now.
It's an even more difficult call to make when there are no reviews out yet for Payday 3 from any media outlet. Furthermore, user reviews on Steam aren't permitted yet because the game is technically "unreleased."
Payday 3 is out on September 21 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Payday 3 is also coming to Game Pass on PC and Xbox on the 21st.
