Harada says you all "sit the hell down" now.
You won't have to worry about Tekken 8 including the anti-tamper and DRM software Denuvo. Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada flat out said on Twitter that the game will not include Denuvo "or anything else" like it.
Harada made this announcement over on Twitter in response to a now-deleted tweet that showed Tekken's 8 End User License Agreement (EULA) mentions Denuvo under the third-party software category. Harada says that the EULA is just a copy and paste of the one from Tekken 7 "or something."
So, there you go. There's no Denuvo planned for Tekken 8. That's assuming the director has any say in the matter, of course. It may not be up to Harada at the end of the day.

#2K-16 commented08-11-2023, 02:05 AMEditing a commentI'm surprised Harada hasn't resorted to going full-blown postal, Hideki Kamiya style. Figured that's the time to do it if the internet goes ape$#!+. (Least I'm unaware of any significant blocking.)

by Shawn ZipayThe controversial DRM system has long been blamed for poorly performing PC games.
Despite the years of complaints from PC players, Denuvo is still the go-to option when it comes to adding anti-tamper and anti-piracy measures into new game releases. It's also still just as common to hear complaints from players saying that Deunvo is responsible for any and all performance woes that a player faces when playing a video game with it included.
These claims of degraded performance...-

by Shawn ZipayDavid Hayter is not pleased.
During this weekend's Tekken 7 grand finals at EVO, a short video was played showing Solid Snake talking to Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada. Snake belted out, as only Snake could, a line about playing some "good ass Tekken" before the fake feed was cut.
The video was not shown during the livestream, but it was captured by a number of people that were in attendance at the event itself. Initially, many people thought this was a teaser...-
