Layers of Fear (2023) from Bloober Team and Anshar Studios, will be priced starting at $29.99 (USD). There's also a Deluxe Edition for $34.99. Those that own Layers of Fear (2016) and/or Layers of Fear 2 will get an extra 30% discount. This discount period runs from launch day on June 15 through to June 29, 2023 and works through Steam.
The $30 version of the game includes just the game and nothing more. The Deluxe Edition comes with a digital artbook and soundtrack by Arek Reikowski.
Layers of Fear is both a new game and also not a new game. It is a combination of the events from the first two Layers of Fear titles blended together, mixed up a bit, and with some extra story content under the names of "The Final Note" and "The Writer." Bloober says that The Final Note is a chapter offering an alternative perspective on the events of the first game. The Writer is that aforementioned new content that is added to the existing narrative throughout.
