Mattel and Milestone announce that Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is coming on October 19, 2023 for PC and "consoles." The consoles in question were not specified but if it follows the first game, it will be out on last-gen and current-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles, plus the Switch.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 will launch with over 130 vehicles. New in this entry is the addition of motorcycles and ATVs. There will be three vehicle categories (Stock, Powered, and Ultimate) with each vehicle also benefiting from customized driving styles and perks upgraded through skill points.
There will also be five distinct racing environments that will all feature unique racing surfaces that impact performance. Objects that can be interacted with will also make "races even more unpredictable as players decide to look for their own shortcuts." New abilities like Dash and Jump will also change how races play out. Players will be able to dash laterally into opponents or jump over obstacles with these abilities.
