John Cena is a lot of things. He was (is?) a WWE Superstar. He has starred in several big films. He's a rapper. He is also huge into philanthropy, having help grant a record setting 600+ Make-a-Wish requests. Now, he's joining professional golfers in PGA Tour 2K23.
Come April 7, John Cena will be added as a playable golfer in PGA Tour 2K23. Cena joins some other bonus non-PGA pros like Michael Jordan and Steph Curry as one of the select few to be featured across multiple 2K franchises.
Cena will sport some red, white, and blue attire as he tees up against other golfers such as Tiger Woods, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Tony Finau, and more.
The man who will “Never Give Up” steps up to the tee box packing long-driving muscle, but how will he fare on the fairways and greens, where precision and skill outweigh power? Decked out in a familiar red, white and blue attire, Cena takes on an entirely new challenge amongst the top PGA TOUR players on several of the most challenging courses. Players can also step into Cena’s shoes to take on friends locally, or online with Crossplay support.** Additional new content, including playable pro Nelly Korda, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Pinehurst No. 2, Eastside Golf gear, Barstool Sports Fore Play Podcast playable golfers, and more will be coming soon.
PGA Tour 2K23 will also be available at 67% off for the Standard Edition, 50% off for the Tiger Woods Edition, and 65% off the Standard Edition x NBA 2K23 Digital Deluxe Bundle for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from 12AM (PT) Wednesday, March 29 through 11:59PM (PT) Wednesday, April 12. The Deluxe Edition on Xbox platforms will be 60% off from 12AM (PT) Tuesday, March 28 through 11:59 PM (PT) April 3.
There was no word in that jumble of dates and sales information about a sale happening on Steam, but I'd say that it's a safe bet it'll be on sale during that free weekend starting April 6th. PGA Tour 2K23 is out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
