Except sales, giveaways, special quests, and even a free copy of Fallout 76.
Fallout 25th anniversary

While a new Fallout game is still probably years and years away from release, that hasn't stopped Bethesda from celebrating the franchise's 25th anniversary in style. Throughout the month of October Bethesda will have a bunch of deals, offers, giveaways, and events that celebrate 25 years of post-apocalyptic goodness.

Each week, Bethesda will have something new to celebrate Fallout. Some of the ones starting this week will actually run through the rest of the month. So while there are a good number of things happening this week, you'll need to check back each week to see what's changed or what's new.

Right now, those of you with Amazon Prime can get a free copy of Fallout 76. Just head on over to this Prime Gaming page to get your code. Keep in mind that this code is for the Windows Store version. However, you should still be able to play with friends that play the game on Steam.

Yes, I am well aware of the meme that is the disastrous Fallout 76 launch. However, the game has been improved quite drastically since then and it is, I would say, quite a bit of fun! It would be hard to pass up trying it for free if you have Prime at the very least. You have from now through to November 1 to claim your free copy of Fallout 76.

Other events starting this week include a fun questionnaire to find out which Fallout faction you belong to. Those with Xbox Game Pass also get a free month of Fallout 1st. There is a Fallout 4 Creation Club giveaway running through to November 2. There is an alien-themed seasonal event starting this week in Fallout 76. A special anniversary stream will air on Twitch on the 7th. Those who don't have Amazon Prime can still get a taste of Fallout 76 this week thanks to a Free Play Week on all platforms. Finally, Xbox Series X|S players can download an exclusive Fallout-themed free dynamic theme.

Naturally, there are also some big sales on the Fallout franchise. Steam users have until October 18 to take advantage of the sale, while PlayStation and Xbox users have until the 12th to save.
