A PlayStation 4 release is still planned though.
Resident Evil 4 not on XB1

When the Resident Evil 4 remake comes out on March 24, 2023, there will be a notable exception to the release lineup. Resident Evil 4 will be out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That's right, there is no Xbox One version being released by Capcom.

The reveal of the Xbox-less platform lineup came earlier today during Capcom's Tokyo Game Show 2022 online showcase (seen embedded below). Though Capcom confirmed that a PlayStation 4 version is coming, no footage from that release was shown off.

Hey, maybe Capcom just forgot to mention the Xbox One release during their show today. Mistakes happen, right? Well, it seems as though the game's key art, shown during the presentation, only displays the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. Again, Xbox One was nowhere to be found.

Capcom did not provide any public reasoning for the lack of an Xbox One release. However, it could be due to a couple of factors. One factor could be because the Xbox One hardware just isn't as powerful as the PlayStation 4, albeit just barely. It could also be because the Xbox One did not sell as well as the PlayStation 4.
