Plus new styles for Battle Pass outfits, looking for group, and more.
Fortnite Darth Vader

Fortnite's battle royale mode was updated today to V21.10 with some new content and quality of life tweaks. This update finally adds in Darth Vader's Lightsaber, unlocks new styles for the Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass outfits, makes some nerfs to the Reality Saplings, and nerfed the detection radius of "Visualize Sound Effects" indicator.

While Vader's Lightsaber is not a part of the Season Pass, for whatever stupid reason, you can get it if you find Vader on the Island. If you manage to defeat him along with his Stormtrooper entourage, you can pick up Darth Vader's Lightsaber. It can block incoming fire, be thrown boomerang-style at enemies, and swung at foes within melee range. The E-11 Blasters are also back in the game. They can be found in Imperial Chests, at Vader Landing Sites, and also from any Stormtroopers you kill.

Fortnite C3S3 bonus skins

Today also saw the reveal of several bonus rewards for the Battle Pass. These bonuses include bonus styles for Chapter 3 Season 3 outfits. There are no alternate Darth Vader skins this season, which has been disappointing a number of players. Even more players are upset that several of the actual bonus outfits this season are yet again just "gold" variants of the existing skins. Players will need to get past level 140 in this season's Battle Pass to unlock Platinum Rift, Lapis Slurp, and Auric Blaze styles for Malik, Evie, Adira, Sabina, and Stormfarer.

Other changes include the ability to add social tags to your profile so that you can find and team up with others with the same tags. This can be done through the new Looking for Party feature. The Reality Sapling now has a different growth cycle: 3 fruits for Uncommon and Rare, 2 fruits for Epic, and 1 fruit when Legendary or Mythic. This should cut back on the over abundance of high level loot on everyone.

Epic also reduced the detection radius of the Visualize Sound Effects indicator for footsteps, chests, and vehicles "to better match the distance that sound would be audible." Hopefully this means that using this accessibility feature won't be almost required for anything but the most super casual of play.

Save the World also received a small update today as did Creative. And hey, if you're feeling like buying more Fortnite V-Bucks, why not use creator code "zips" at checkout? Or don't, I'm not your dad.
