The Pitt was one of the expansions released for Fallout 3 back in 2009. It took players to the ruins of a little city called Pittsburgh located in the state of Pennsylvania. The developers at Bethesda must enjoy Pittsburgh a whole heck of a lot because we're going back there in Fallout 76.
This September, Fallout 76 will let players venture beyond the borders of Appalachia with a return to The Pitt. The Pitt is said to be "a grim wasteland crippled by conflict and swash with radiation." Yep, that checks out.
You will be working with the Union, "a fledgling band of freedom fighters in a desperate attempt to reclaim their home from a power-hungry raider faction known as the Fanatics."
A new gameplay trailer for Fallout 76: The Pitt shows off some of the new content that will drop this September, for free, to everyone that plays. There will be "repeatable ever-changing missions for up to four players, new stories, and factions, new rewards for players, and new enemies to defeat."
