Shortly after news started to break about E3 cancelling their in-person event for 2022, and possibly being cancelled altogether, Geoff Keighley jumped on to Twitter to tell everyone that the Summer Game Fest will return this year.
He made the quick reveal on Twitter, having only posted a picture of the Summer Game Fest logo accompanied by the words "returns Summer 2022."
I can almost picture Keighley gleefully reading today's news about E3 as he hit "send tweet."
Keighley followed up his initial tweet by saying that you can sign up at summergamefest.com to get updates on this year's plans as they are announced. God willing, this won't be spread out across several months like the first Summer Game Fest in 2020.
