Capcom has said that Resident Evil Village will get some free DLC at some point in the future. This information was published as part of the company's recent annual integrated report and brought to our attention by IGN.

Their report talks about the past year of the studio's performance as well as provides some details about what is coming in the near future. Capcom director and executive officer Yoichi Egawa briefly talked about the company's development strategy and their plans for Resident Evil Village.

"We will drive our customer management to understand the playing trends and preferences of users while also building a business model for online operations. Taking into account the situation of our free additional DLC for titles such as Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village."
We already knew that Capcom was getting to work on some DLC for Resident Evil Village. They announced it earlier this year as part of their E3 presentation but said nothing else about it.

What this free DLC entails is really anybody's guess. It seems doubtful that the free DLC will be substantial or add in new story content, but we just do not know yet. Something like free cosmetics or maybe a free mode is more likely for this free DLC.

If you don't yet have Resident Evil Village yet, you can pick it up for a reduced price during the Steam Halloween Sale that is currently underway.
