Valorant is a 5v5 character-based tactical FPS game that has been on the market for about two years now. It's one of those games where you're always playing against someone else, and there are no AI opponents to beat upon. Valorant players have come to know some tricks over the last couple of years, but it can be hard to find new strategies or tips without getting killed in Valorant. This blog post will tell you what you need to do if you want your move without getting killed in Valorant!

1. Learn the basics: When you first start playing Valorant, it might seem a little daunting knowing you always have to be aware of where your teammates are and what the enemy team is doing. However, after a little bit of practice, things will start to feel more natural as you learn how everyone works in terms of damage dealing and taking care of themselves. Know where you're at and how much health you have; If your health bar goes all the way to zero, then congratulations, you can click on your respawn button and be back in the game within 10 seconds; good job! If not, then it's time to start looking for help at WeCoach.

2. Get to know your enemies: get to know your enemies and characters better and use this to your advantage! If you see an enemy who's too far away for you to kill, keep in mind that when they respawn, they will have their cooldowns available, so don't assume it's a free game yet! With your enemies mopped up, you know their moves so you can implement counter moves and strategies that keep you on top of your game. Know your strengths and weaknesses. If you know what you can do and what your character is capable of, you have an advantage over other players. If you don't see what every agent does, then your opponents will have an advantage over you. You should learn what abilities each character has so that you can gain the upper hand in battle!

3. Read through the players' abilities: Now that you have gone to training, go back to your profile page and click on each player to read up on what they are capable of doing. Every character has an ultimate (the significant "POWER!" move), and some of those ultimates are good for killing team members, so make sure you know the cooldowns and the big picture of the character you're playing and what your teammates and enemies can do.

4. Know when to run and fight: This is the key to winning and losing Valorant games. Here's a quick guide to help you understand when it's best to fight and when it's best to dash it:
  • When there are at least three enemies left on their side, or two individuals blocking your route of escape or entrance with only one comrade left, it's time to run.
  • When it seems like you've taken out several enemies and there is only one or two left, it's worth the fight. Of course, every scenario is different, but these are pretty good guidelines for knowing when to stay and when to leave.
  • Unless they're shooting at other members of your team, of course. You don't want to abandon your mates, but sometimes it's better than dying too soon and having no effect on the match's outcome.
  • Keep an eye out for health and ammo around you: there may be some just over a rock or wall that will respawn if you can reach it in time before an enemy does.
  • When you see someone coming your way, try moving through another entrance into that same room before engaging them. You may lose a bit of health or ammo in that firefight, but they'll likely be hurt or low on ammo, too, so you might have the upper hand.

5. Make use of your surroundings: know how to use the environment in Valorant. For example, if there's a gap between two buildings, you can jump across it quickly, but if someone sees you running towards it, they might assume that you aren't going to make it and will hit you with their abilities. If people are standing around the corner of a building, pop out quickly and shoot them in the back before they can counter it!

6. Keep calm and carry on! Know when to move on to new targets. If you kill someone without any problems but you know someone on your tail, switch off to another target rather than staying on one target. If you keep on fighting the same guy, he might be able to kill you before you can kill him, but if you switch off to someone else, they might not even notice that there is a problem! When you are trying to move on to another target, remember where your original target is! There's nothing worse than moving onto another target, only to have your initial target kill you while you're doing so.

7. Don't always rush: One of the biggest mistakes in Valorant is running into an open area with someone with an automatic weapon. It's important to remember you don't always have to do this. If the other team is hiding behind a box or something, wait for them to come out before attacking. You can even crouch and shoot at their feet (this works exceptionally well if they are standing on stairs). This way, they can't hit you, and you can beat them at the same time. It'll be much harder to figure out where you are and even who you are if you move too quickly. If you manage to get someone's attention, though, they will likely know what direction your attack is coming from or at least where to look for you; this gives them a great advantage. The best option would be to take cover and shoot only when the enemy is not looking your way.

8. Take cover and Beware of snipers: It might happen from time to time where you get thrown out in the open and have no escape route. In this case, find some cover and crouch down to avoid getting shot. You can also use this as a chance to snipe your opponent from outside. If you see someone far away, take cover ASAP if they have a sniper rifle trained on you! The only thing you'll be able to do is stay in the open and hope that they miss since it's pretty hard to shoot back when you're in the open.

Conclusion
Most importantly, practice, practice, practice! Stay motivated; it only takes one or two kills to keep you moving forward and keep playing. Make sure you play it safe if you are a beginner and slowly move up your kills-to-death ratio. Happy gaming!
