New World Interactive and Focus Home Interactive announced that Insurgency: Sandstorm will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 29. This will be the game's console debut after having been out on PC since 2018. Those interested in playing this tactical co-op shooter should be able to pre-purchase the game right now for their platform of choice.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is an award winning FPS that is known for its "intense depiction of modern warfare, focusing on lethal close-quarters combat, fast-paced, objective-oriented multiplayer, and intense cooperative gameplay."

Those on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will be able to play the game through backwards compatibility at resolutions of up to 4K. In 2022, there will be an actual next-gen update released for the game that includes additional features native to the next-gen consoles.

Those looking for some extra content will find that with the Deluxe Edition or Gold Edition versions of the game. The Deluxe Edition includes the game, plus the Year 1 Pass. The Gold Edition includes the aforementioned content plus the Year 2 Pass. Each Year Pass includes 16 cosmetic sets with an instant bonus of four rewards for the Year 2 Pass.
