His passive, tactical, and ultimate have all been hit by the nerf stick, but is it enough?

Respawn has pushed out an update for Apex Legends that largely attempts to nerf the battle royale's newest legend, Seer. This was done after constant complaints from players ever since the character was released at the start of the game's latest season, Emergence, and for good reason.

See, Seer shipped in a ridiculously overpowered state. His abilities allowed him to pinpoint the location of nearby enemies, highlight enemies through walls and objects, cause damage, blind opponents, see their health bars, and even prevent players from healing or reviving teammates. He was, as you may have guessed, just a tad bit overpowered for a battle royale game. In fact, he was just downright annoying to play against and was almost a necessity to have on your team if you wanted to remain competitive against other teams.

Thankfully, the calls for a big nerf to Seer have been answered after a couple of weeks of what some would describe as "hell."

As you can see, Seer's passive now has a slightly longer period between pings that alert for nearby enemies, though it's only an increase of 0.50 seconds. His tactical ability, which shoots out a cyclinder ahead of him to detect enemies, now no longer damages or blinds enemies caught up in it. It will still, however, apparently prevent healing and revives if struck by it. The damage from getting hit wasn't really the issue people had with this tactical, it was the fact that it totally reset progress on healing and revives, actions that can take a little while to complete in Apex.

Seer's ultimate ability, which creates a dome around an area that will spot and track enemies caught within it, now has an increased cooldown now. It will take a full two minutes to charge instead of a minute and a half. Both his ultimate and tactical have also had their volume adjusted to not be absurdly loud in your ears.

Overall, today's update hasn't been well received by fans either. They feel as though Respawn didn't do enough to nerf the character and have actually changed some of the things that nobody really took issue with in the first place (such as the damage from Seer's tactical), while leaving in unwanted abilities (such as halting healing/revive progress).

Today's update also includes a few other miscellaneous fixes.
