Apex Legends Season 8 Trailer is Explosive

    Click, click, boom.

Come February, Season 08 for Apex Legends will kick off. Today, a new trailer blasts its way to your eyeballs courtesy of the game's new hero, Fuse. The Respawn developed battle royale game brings a little Mayhem to the festivities, which is appropriate given that Mayhem is the name of the game's eighth season of content.

Fuse is a Aussie with an attitude. I know, hard to believe. He loves explosives and apparently he loves being the center of attention....

Respawn Working on a New IP

As spotted from a now deleted job opening.

EA Respawn seems to be working on a brand new IP. We aren't 100% sure on this one, but if a now deleted job listing is to be believed, they are doing exactly as we suggest in the headline.

The job opening in question was first spotted by VGC and has since been deleted. The listing did specifically mention that they were forming a small team in order to develop a "brand new IP." Details beyond this were in short supply....

On Tuesday, October 6 the Aftermarket Collection Event for Apex Legends will kick off. This update will include a lot of new content including a new LTM called Flashpoint, new event cosmetics, free rewards for playing, and more. Apex Legends Season 5 Details and Steam Release Date

What's this about a Switch release?

Season 5 for Apex Legends has been a big one for the teams at Respawn Entertainment and EA. According to the studios, this has been the season that has seen the "highest level of per-play engagement" to date. I do not know what that means per se, but it sounds highly impressive. Season 5 is also seeing the largest number of new players since the game's first season.

Come this Fall, the game will make its way on to Steam. Not...

Epic Nerfs Giant Mechs in Fortnite

Taking a nerf bat to the mech that everyone hates.

The new, giant mechs in the latest Fortnite season aren't winning too many fans over. In fact, some people outright despise the mech and other changes that came about in Season 10. Epic hasn't backed down from keeping them in the game (for now), but they did make some nerfs to the way that mech, called B.R.U.T.E., operates. Perhaps Respawn had the right idea when they decided not to include the Titans in Apex Legends.

Respawn Apologizes to Ass-hat Gamers for 'Ass-hat' Remarks

Statement issued from Respawn's Vince Zampella.

Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella issued a bit of an apology today after members of the Apex Legends development team called a bunch of toxic ass-hat gamers, well... they called them ass-hats. Donning their biggest surprised Pikachu face possible, these Gamers™ got extra angry when they realized they couldn't just keep dishing it out and not expect some form of retaliation in return. Some continued to throw tantrums, others called for boycots,...

Respawn to Force Apex Legends Cheaters to Play Each Other

That's one way of dealing with cheaters.

Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Apex Legends, says that they will soon begin to implement a new method of anti-cheat in their still fairly popular battle royale title. Unlike many other methods of anti-cheat, this one aims to issue softbans against known cheaters.

In short, this means that people who are detected to be cheating will be matched up only against others who have been found to be cheating. These people will...
