The month of May offers a huge release window for some major gaming titles across all sorts of platforms. The games coming out or that just came out in the month of May also cover a wide variety of genres in addition to being made available for a variety of platforms.

We just saw the release of the eighth major title in the venerable Resident Evil franchise from Capcom. Resident Evil Village has been cooking up some scares and intense action since May 7th on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the PC. Maybe if some of these games are not your cup of tea, you can always check out some classic esports games in the hopes of taking home a big payday. For that, you can always check out PayersHive.

So, with that out of the way, let us take a quick look at some of the big games coming out in May 2021.

On May 10, the PvPvE game Hood: Outlaws and Legends will be released across the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. This game tasks two teams of four players competing to steal and extract some heavily guarded treasures. You will be facing human opponents in addition to A.I. controlled combatants.

One day later, Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer will be released. This new Season of content from Bungie brings in all-new story content for players. It will also introduce new six-player matchmade activities in addition to bringing back a retooled Vault of Glass raid from the first Destiny.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will be released just a few days later on May 14. This release features all three classic Mass Effect games but with a fresh coat of visual paint and a variety of gameplay adjustments. The biggest changes for the trio of titles in this compilation are coming to the first game to bring it more in line with the releases that came later. Nintendo Switch owners will also have a new release to tackle on this date thanks to the Switch release of the undersea survival game, Subnautica. Subnautica: Below Zero will also be out on the 14th and brings some chilling new adventures and fresh mysteries to discover.
