Ready for another State of Play from PlayStation? It seems like a pretty good time for one when you consider Sony's voluntary absence from E3. On July 8 at 2PM (PT; 5PM ET), Sony will host a new State of Play stream that will focus on Deathloop, various indie titles, and third-party titles.

This new State of Play was announced by way of the PlayStation Blog. Deathloop fans will get a "nine-minute look at Deathloop's time-twisted world." The footage will show one of the main characters, Cole, using his abilities to "stealthily skulk across rooftops" or "go in guns blazing to create a whole lot of mayhem."

Back in April of this year, Arkane and Bethesda announced that Deathloop was delayed out of its planned May release date all the way to a release set for September 14, 2021. Both Arkane and Bethesda are owned by Microsoft, but Deathloop was already announced as a console exclusive for PlayStation 5 long before that acquisition took place.

The other 21 minutes of this State of Play will be taken up by those aforementioned indie and third-party titles. Sony makes it clear that this show will NOT include updates on the next-gen version of PlayStation VR, the next God of War, or Horizon Forbidden West. Sony seems to suggest that we will get more information on these three items later on this Summer.

You will be able to watch this State of Play event on either Twitch or YouTube.
