The Nintendo 64 is alive and well in 2021.

During the Oculus Gaming Showcase, a new VR extreme sports experience was shown off to the masses. It's called Carve Snowboarding and it will be coming to the Quest platform at some point in the future. We don't have a release window just yet.

What makes Carve Snowboarding unique is that it comes from creator Giles Goddard. Goddard is the creator of 1080° Snowboarding, the hit snowboarding game for the Nintendo 64. 1080° Snowboarding came out way back in 1998, so that name may be completely new to a whole lot of you out there.

Carve Snowboarding is said to be a "modern take" on the classic Nintendo 64 title.

And yes, as the trailer briefly indicates: You can pet the dog.
