Last night, word broke about who would star in The Last of Us TV series for the HBO production. First, we learned that Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey would portray Ellie in The Last of Us. Shortly thereafter, word broke that Pedro Pascal would portray Joel in the TV series.

You may know Pascal for his current work as the Mandalorian on The Mandalorian. He also played Oberyn Martell on HBO's Game of Thrones.

The Last of Us TV show is being co-produced between PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog, along with HBO. Craig Mazin, who created HBO's hit series Chernobyl, is writing the script and executive producing The Last of Us alongside Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann. An HBO show based off of the popular series was given the greenlight back in March 2020.
