    With the AGDQ charity marathon going on in the first week and a half of January, it might be a good time to check out your first speedrun if you haven't seen one yet.

        I'm firmly in the "yes" camp here. I used to watch the GDQ events quite a bit and still tune in from time to time these days. I also follow a few speedrunners, one of which is routing Hitman Seasons 1 + 2 right now.

          I've done a few moderation stints for GDQ, and found myself less interested in the content as time went by.

          That said, I have mountains of respect for the organizers and runners, so always hope they have great events.

            I watch them like I used to watch Guiness World Record attempts on TV (the studio attempts). I like seeing them explain the inner workings of a video game and how they can do tricks from their understanding of game design.
