Just yesterday, word broke from CD Projekt Red that they were delaying the release of Cyberpunk 2077 by an additional three weeks. It's sad, it's unfortunate, but it's only a delay of a video game. Of course, some people reacted to the delay announcement to extremes that nobody should ever reach.
Some so-called "gamers" have issued death threats to members of the Cyberpunk 2077 development team. This was revealed via a tweet from CD Projekt Red senior game designer Andrzej Zawadzki.
I want to address one thing in regards of the @CyberpunkGame delay.
I understand you're feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it.
However, sending death threats to the developers is absolutely unacceptable and just wrong. We are people, just like you.

These developers are already putting up with enough bullshit with working non-stop crunch for months, some of whom are now putting in 100 hours per week. Do you really think your threats are going to speed things along? Do you really expect that threatening to kill another human being is going to get you a VIDEO GAME any earlier?
It's a fucking video game. Get some damn perspective before running your mouth off like some sad, pathetic manchild. You want to be mad about something? Be mad that crunch is so prevalent within the gaming industry. Be mad that marginalized people are so under represented in gaming. Be mad that people are receiving death threats period. What you don't get this mad about is the fact that a video game was delayed! Grow up.
