One subscription, lots of games.
EA Play

EA announces that their EA Play subscription service will make its Steam debut on August 31, 2020. If you are confused about what EA Play is, you need only remember that it is the new brand name for what were formerly known as EA Access and Origin Access, with Origin Access Premier now being known as EA Play Pro.

This Steam release will include all of the perks that fans have come to expect from the subscription service. This includes trials of new EA games, 10% discounts on digital purchases, and more. EA is also introducing some new benefits such as in-game challenges and monthly reward drops on select titles. Some game specific perks are outlined below, starting with Madden NFL 21.

  • Madden NFL 21 players get to start their season early on August 21st, as well as enjoy EA Play Challenges, a launch-day pack in Madden Ultimate Team, three Gold Team Fantasy Packs each month, plus additional in-game benefits that will give you a boost on the field.
  • FIFA 21 players will get early access to the trial starting October 1st with pre-launch challenges to unlock bonuses and additional benefits all season long including FIFA Ultimate Team Season Objective XP boosts.
  • Star Wars: Squadrons players will receive in-game perks through vanity items like the Interceptor Elegance Helmet and the Ashen Monarch Starfighter Paint Job Set.
If EA Play on Steam follows the typical pricing structure, you can expect the basic tier of EA Play to begin at $4.99 (USD) per month. EA Play Pro grants full access to EA's latest titles and begins at $14.99 per month or $99.99 for an entire year.
