Play the entire trilogy in VR.
Hitman VR

Hitman 3 will launch with VR support when it releases in early 2021. Specifically, "Hitman 3 will support PlayStation VR at launch in January 2021." Of course, that's not the entire bit of exciting news here. Every single location from the World of Assassination trilogy will be playable in VR.

IO Interactive is converting the over 20 locations across all three games to be playable in PlayStation VR. IO says that they will have more to share on this whole VR thing in the months ahead.

As for other VR platforms, well it seems as though they are presently SOL. IO Interactive's official announcement makes zero mention of PC based VR support. They do leave the window open a crack though with their wording of "at launch." This could mean that VR support on non-PSVR platforms is coming at a later date, but it's just too ambiguous to know for sure.

This could be another Resident Evil 7 VR situation all over again. That would be incredibly disappointing if true.

Playing in VR will literally change the way you play with a first-person perspective that lets you immerse yourself into the game world. Stand face-to-face with your targets, blend-in to a busy crowd to overhear conversations and interact with the game world using your hands. For example, imagine that you’ve picked up a frying pan and you sneak up on a guard. You can swing the frying pan in whatever angle you want to knock them out – and then use it to deflect bullets that are fired as you make your escape.

HITMAN VR will immerse you into the World of Assassination in a unique way and we can’t wait to see the creative ideas and playthroughs our creative community can come up with when they get their hands on the game in January next year. We’re already looking forward to sharing more details about our VR support for HITMAN 3!
