Series staple Kazuma Kiryu returns to teach the new guy some old tricks.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

A new trailer came out today for Yakuza 7, or as it's actually called in Western markets, Yakuza: Like a Dragon. This new trailer is over ten minutes long and is presented entirely in Japanese with no dubs or subtitles.

However, I can say that the trailer focuses on Masato Arakawa, a character presumed to be the main antagonist in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. According to some translations done by DualShockers, Masato is the son of Masumi Arakawa, a father-figure to the game's protagonist, Ichiban. Masumi passes away but not before betraying the Tojo Clan. Than Masato allegedly passes away.

However, 18 years later, after Ichiban got out of prison, he realized Ryo Aoki, the current governor of Japan and founder of a political group named Bleach Japan, is actually Masato Arakawa, who is still alive and changed his identity. Moreover, Ichiban and his friends discover Masato is behind certain incidents and isn’t as clean as his public persona implies. Ichiban decides to stop his brother before he sinks even more into darkness.
This trailer also shows that Ichiban and his friends are looking for some sort of a "treasure." It just so happens that the treasure is being protected by none other than Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima himself.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is slated to be released in Japan on January 16, 2020 for the PlayStation 4. A worldwide release is slated to occur later in 2020. Fun fact, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is called Like a Dragon 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness in Japan. Bonus fun fact, you can actually download the demo for the game right now if you have a Japanese PSN account.
