The month of August is absolutely stacked for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The PlayStation Blog shared details on the free games coming in August 2022 for those with active PlayStation Plus subscriptions. Those games are Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, and Little Nightmares. All of these titles are absolute bangers and everyone with PlayStation Plus who have not yet played them need to do so.

It looks like the band is getting back together.

The first look at Yakuza 8 (or whatever it ends up being called) has appeared online from one of the most unlikely of sources. A behind the scenes video from MMA fighter and YouTuber Mikuru Asakura took fans inside the inner workings of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. During the lengthy video tour, we got a quick glimpse of Yakuza: Like a Dragon stars Ichiban Kasuga, Koichi Adachi, and Yu Nanba all together in a new game.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is busy working on a new project that isn't a new Judgment or Yakuza title.

In a new interview with Famitsu (transcribed by ryokutya), Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio director Masayohi Yokoyama revealed that the studio is planning on creating a new game that is separate from either the Yakuza and Judgment titles.

Earlier today came the announcement of Lost Judgment from the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios. Like a Dragon is a near four month next-gen exclusive on Series X.

For whatever reason, it seems as though there will be a decently lengthy exclusivity period for Yakuza: Like a Dragon on the Xbox Series X. Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC will get Yakuza: Like a Dragon on November 10, 2020. It won't be until March 2, 2021 that PlayStation 5 owners will get their hands on Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Confirmation comes after months of speculation.

Today, Sega made some big reveals for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the next main entry in the Yakuza franchise. While we knew for a while now that Yakuza: Like a Dragon was coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the Xbox Series X, we did not hear anything about a PlayStation 5 version. Earlier today during the special Inside Xbox event from Microsoft, Sega revealed that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be a launch title for the next-gen Xbox Series X. Sega then outdid themselves by also announcing that this is the same date that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and on PC via both Steam and the Windows Store.
