Square Enix showed off an all new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake this week at the Tokyo Game Show. The new trailer offers a fresh look at gameplay, the slums of Midgar, and a peak at the mini-games and summons. Midgar is home to the Shinra Electric Power Company. This kind of totally evil company is in conflict with Avalanche, a resistance group fighting to keep their planet alive. You will also get your first look at some of the Shinra operatives known as The Turks.

Square Enix also included their new artwork that recreates the iconic artwork from the original game. The old version is above while the new and improved version can be found below.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is slated to be released on March 3, 2020 for the PlayStation 4. The first entry in what is supposed to be an episodic release, will take place in Midgar. Square Enix promises that despite the first part only taking place in Midgar, this will still be a "fully standalone gaming experience." Final Fantasy VII Remake includes a hybrid battle system that blends together real-time action with the more strategic "ATB" style command-based combat.

Square Enix also makes mention of a Deluxe Edition of the game that includes a hardback art book, a soundtrack sampler CD, Summon Materia DLC that allows you to summon Cactuar, and a Sephiroth SteelBook Case. There's also a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes a digital art book, digital soundtrack selection, and Summon Materia DLC that allows you to summon both Carbuncle and Cactuar. All pre-orders get the Chocobo Chick Summon Materia DLC at launch. Pre-orders on the PlayStation Store also include a Cloud and Sephiroth Dynamic Theme.
