Private Division and Obsidian Entertainment revealed a new trailer at PAX West for The Outer Worlds. This new trailer gives players and potential owners a new look at life in the Halcyon colony.
This includes the "bustling communities on Terra 2, to the dangerous frontiers of Monarch." There is plenty of exotic wildlife, powerful weapons, and a number of eccentric characters to meet in your adventures. This video provides a small glimpse at some of all of that.
For those that need a little refresher: The Outer Worlds is an upcoming single player, sci-fi RPG from Obsidian. It's kiiiiind of like Fallout: New Vegas in a space setting, which is probably enough to entice many people already. It's slated to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Windows 10 Store and Epic Games Store on October 25, 2019. A Switch release is also coming, but there is presently no release date set for that one.
Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
