Late last night, Sega announced that Judgment will be released in the Americas and throughout Europe on June 25. This reveal came last night via Twitter along with a few additional details about a pre-order bonus.

Fans of the Yakuza games will want to keep an eye on this one. Why's that? Because it's set in the same world as the Yakuza franchise, made by the same developers, and contains some of the same gameplay elements. However, this is not a Yakuza game, it's merely a spin-off.

You play as detective Takayuki Yagami who is investigating a serial murder case in Kamurocho. See, I told you it was set in the same world as the Yakuza franchise. The game includes some familiar feeling fighting mechanics that allow you to make use of different styles. There is also an investigation mode where players must find clues to track the criminals.

Famitsu scored the Japanese release of Judgment at 37 out of 40. Sounds good to me!
