Nintendo shocked their fans today with a surprise announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening remake for the Nintendo Switch. The classic was originally released for the Game Boy over 25 years ago.
The game is targeting a 2019 release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. A bit more than a simple remake, this release of Links Awakening will be closer to a "re-imagining" of the original. The most obvious change is the unique visual style seen in the gameplay sections of the announcement trailer.
I'm sure we'll have more on this one in the weeks and months ahead.

In this modern re-imagining, players once again return to the mysterious island of Koholint to guide Link on a perilous adventure. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening arrives exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
