Kingdom Hearts 3

The words "Kingdom Hearts 3 is now available" are ones that many fans have been waiting about 13 years to read. That day has finally come thanks to Square Enix and Disney. This marks the release of the latest and, perhaps, last release in the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

Longtime fans and newcomers alike will follow the exciting new adventures of Sora, a young Keyblade wielder tasked with protecting the universe from an evil force known as the Heartless. Sora, helped by his loyal companions, Donald and Goofy, who are emissaries sent by King Mickey from Disney Castle, will team up with other iconic Disney and Pixar characters in an attempt to defeat the darkness and save the universe.

“I am thrilled that KINGDOM HEARTS III is now officially out,” said Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the KINGDOM HEARTS series. “There are many mysteries in the story, so players will want to take their time so that they don’t miss anything. The adventure lies within the journey, and not just the destination. This story marks one of the greatest experiences Sora will have with his friends, so I hope that the players enjoy it. To all of our fans around the world, thank you for eagerly awaiting this day.”(...)

KINGDOM HEARTS III features a star-studded voice cast who brought to life beloved characters across popular Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films. Those reprising their Disney Animation roles for the game include Frozen’s Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff, Tangled’s Zachary Levi, Big Hero 6’s Jamie Chung and more.
I'm not quite sure how well newcomers to the franchise will actually handle this game. The long-running story throughout the games is ... uh... confusing to put it mildly. Maybe "convoluted" is a bit better a word? However, the game has gotten some fairly high praise, currently sitting at an 87% at OpenCritic. Hop in now or play the other games first. It's up to you how you enjoy the game. And I'm sure that you already decided a long time ago whether or not you were going to get this game, so no amount of last-second marketing is probably going to sway your decision anyway!

Anyhow, feel free to check out the latest Kingdom Hearts 3 launch trailer and gameplay trailer. Square Enix also notes that the opening theme song, "Face My Fears," from Skrillex and Hikaru Utada can be purchased from the iTunes Store.
