Keep in mind that this is a demo and not a beta before you freak out about it being too close to the game's February 22 release date. With that in mind, let's find out how you can actually get in to play this demo, yeah?
All you need to do is either pre-order Anthem, or have an active subscription to EA Access on the Xbox One, or an active sub of Origin Access on the PC. If you have done any of those things, you'll be able to play the demo.
I know you have a couple of questions about this demo, and thankfully the executive producer on Anthem, Mark Darrah, answered some burning questions on Twitter earlier. For example, he says that "there will be something" as far as an actual beta for the game is concerned. He also says that "demo progress will not carry over" to the final game. The reason being that the demo will not be the actual beginning of the game. Makes sense.
This announcement came alongside a new trailer for the game. The trailer says that Anthem will be a "reinvention of personal narrative in a multiplayer game." I sure hope so.
