Microsoft decided to celebrate the first year of the Xbox One's release by giving out random gifts to those customers that purchased the system. There were a number of various prizes that were going to be randomly distributed to Xbox One owners, including the following.
But that’s not all! To show our appreciation for your loyal and continued support for Xbox One, we’ll have several gifts available for our fans, celebrating one year on Xbox One. Beginning Friday, everyone will get:
  • A Year One Gamer Picture
  • New Xbox One backgrounds: A special Year One background as well as an exclusive Day One background for those who unlocked the Day One achievement

That all sounds well and good but so far a number of self-proclaimed loyal Xbox customers have been given a wonderful prize of a poster. That may not be completely terrible, but it's a poster that you have to print out yourself.

Others have been given a background image for use on their Xbox One, a background image that can easily be transferred to anybody at any time.

Yet others were given actual game content such as free DLC or even full games. Needless to say, people aren't too happy about the apparent imbalance in this type of giveaway and would much rather everyone received the same gift.
