Earlier today it was revealed that some early adopters of the PS4 were experiencing some technical issues, which included hardware freezing and failure to download updates.

Sony was quick to respond to the worries by saying only 0.4% of the the total initial shipments were being reported as faulty. That is the equivalent of 4 out of every 1,000 units shipped, which is actually really damn good when it comes down to it.

A Sony spokesperson released this statement on behalf of the company to IGN.

If you're worried about going through the waking nightmare that was the RROD fiasco for the Xbox 360 launch, you can probably breathe a little sigh of relief here.
