Valve officially announced that the Steam Summer Sale will kick off on June 23 at 10AM (PT). This year's sale will run through to July 7 at 10AM (PT).
As you can probably guess, the Steam Summer Sale will include big savings on tons of games across the platform. In addition, there will be Summer Sale trading cards to collect. There will also be badges that you can craft.
Once the 23rd rolls around, all you will need to do is head on over to the main Steam Store to see everything that the sale has to offer. In addition, you can start earning mystery cards right now by crafting badges for games. These cards will turn into the Summer Sale trading cards when the event begins.
Some of the ways you can dive in to the refreshing pool of summer discounts on Steam include:
- Pick a genre, any genre
- Pick a sub-genre, any sub-genre
- Tags!
- Your best friend's uncle's dog's walker, who works with a woman whose kid's aunt has played every game imaginable and always has good recommendations
- Or, you know, just start with your discovery queue
