They just won a boatload of cash. Like an actual boatload. It was a ton of money.

The International 10 wrapped up earlier today at the National Arena in Bucharest, Romania. The 2021 winner for this annual Dota 2 tournament was none other than Team Spirit. They defeated PSG.LGD with a final score of 3 to 2.

As usual, this year's event broke all sorts of esports records with a community-driven prize pool of over $40 million (USD).

The International began in 2011 and featured a prize pool of just a bit over $1 million. Keep in mind that the prize pool each year is increased through sales of things like the Dota 2 Compendium and Battlepass. Keep in mind that only 25% of the revenues made from Compendium and Battlepass sales go towards the prize pool. The rest goes to Valve. That is a lot of cash.
