Valve just announced that they are renaming the "Steam Game Festival" to the "Steam Next Fest." It's the same festival just with a new name. Registration for developers begins today ahead of the festival's return on June 16, 2021.
So, why the new title? Valve says it's to "better reflect what the event is: A week-long celebration of upcoming games where players can chat with developers, watch livestreams, and play what's next on Steam!"
Registration for the June event is open from now through to April 14. After this June event, Valve says that the next Steam Next Fest will occur in October.
As with previous events, the Steam Next Fest in June will offer up about six days of festivities. There should be hundreds of demos to try out for all kinds of games. The prior event was held just this past month in February.
