In case you still feel the need to spend money.
It's that time again! It's the time in which your wallet begs for mercy and you just keep ignoring it. It's time for the 15th annual Steam Winter Sale that is live right now through January 5, 2021. This sale once again offers big savings on tons of titles across Steam.
Not only that, but it's time to get your votes in for the final nominees in the 5th Annual Steam Awards! Cast your vote for categories that range from "Game of the Year" to "VR Game of the Year" all the way to "Best Game You Suck At" and everything in between. Your favorite titles may not have made the list, but there are still some fantastic titles to choose from in each category. Voting in each category will net you a free card that you can optionally sell off for a few easy pennies.
In the category of "Game of the Year" players are looking at voting between Red Dead Redemption 2, Hades, DOOM Eternal, Fall Guys, and Death Stranding. I imagine it's going to be a tight race, so be sure to get those votes in. The "VR Game of the Year" includes the likes of Half-Life: Alyx, Phasmophobia, The Room VR, Thief Simulator VR, and Star Wars Squadrons. I'm actually surprised to see that The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is not on the list as it's probably the second best VR title released this year (came out in January 2020). Ah well, c'est la vie.
You can see the rest of the categories and nominees at the voting page. Voting ends on January 3, 2021.
In addition to all of this, Valve says that they have updated their Steam Points Program with new seasonal items. These include animated stickers, avatars, and the Seasonal Profile. There are also additional upgrades and community awards to redeem for Steam Points.

#1K-16 commented12-24-2020, 06:23 PMEditing a commentSurprisingly, my wishlist is full of discounts less than 50% off (mostly 20%-30% off), so I only bought two things that met historical low and minimum 50% off. My wallet didn't cry this time.

#2Shawn Zipay commented12-25-2020, 04:06 PMEditing a commentMy friends and I bought Ghost Recon: Breakpoint because we know how much of a dumpster fire it is and how much fun we'll have with it as a result. Thank God for Ubisoft discounting their games so incredibly much all the time.
