Valve apologizes for an incident they call "regrettable and unintentional."
Street Fighter V - Poison

Just this past Thursday, Capcom made the big reveal that E. Honda, Lucia, and Poison were coming to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. For some fans, this was completely new and exciting news to read. For others, this was just a confirmation of a leak that happened on Wednesday of this past week.

The leak in question was an early release of the reveal trailer for the three upcoming characters. It wasn't meant to show up until this weekend's big EVO event. Many thought that someone at Capcom had screwed up when scheduling when the trailer would go live, but no it was Valve that did the oopsie.

Valve took responsibility for the mistake and offered an apology to all Street Fighter V fans via the Steam forums..

Dear Street Fighter V Fans,

On Wednesday of this week there was a mix-up in the publishing process at Valve that caused a trailer to go live on Steam ahead of schedule. The trailer includes the major reveal of Poison, Lucia, and E. Honda as characters joining the fighter roster.

It’s a regrettable and unintentional situation, and we have already implemented measures to prevent this error from happening again. We are fans of Street Fighter ourselves and we’re sorry for the error.
