A new trailer for Seven Co-op's 5.0 update was released today. The trailer shows off the new features coming in the update along with news that the game will soon have a stand-alone release on Steam!The stand-alone release will not require users to own the original Half-Life as previous versions before it used to require. For those unaware, Sven Co-op was a way to cooperatively play through Half-Life. Since its initial release in 1999, the mod has seen tremendous growth thanks to a number of fun and challenging maps and scenarios created by the community.

I hope SC 5.0 retains both They Hunger Co-op and the built-in MP3 player. I mean, I know Steam has its own music player, but I liked the versatility of what Sven Co-op offers. It's a really robust MP3 player. Can't believe this mod has gone on for 17 years... I wonder if my donation got through 8 years ago? Really curious as to whether or not I have the bonus goodies. I honestly don't remember checking, since I'm an idiot.
