AMD's frame generation tech makes its debut today.
AMD has officially launched AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) today, complete with their own go at frame generation. FSR 3 is so far only available in two games: Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum. However, there are plans to include support for FSR 3 in dozens of upcoming titles.

Sega Cancels Hyenas from Creative Assembly
Other projects have also been cancelled.
Sega has shutdown development on Hyenas, the multiplayer extraction shooter that was in development at Creative Assembly. This development stoppage comes shortly after a few beta periods for Hyenas were held online for testers. The latest test having just ended on September 11th.

Mortal Kombat Patch Coming to Fix Player 1 Advantage
NetherRealm Studios says a patch is coming soon.
This past week, a bug was discovered in Mortal Kombat 1 that unintentionally gives whomever is Player 1 an unfair advantage over their competition. The issue is that Player 1 is able to pull off combos that are impossible for Player 2 to pull off. It doesn't matter which direction the player is facing, only that they be Player 1.

Meta revealed details on the upcoming Meta Quest 3 VR headset today. This new virtual reality set is out on October 10 at prices starting at $499.99 (USD) for a 128GB model. There is also a 512GB model for $649.99.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) says that they will more forward with an administrative case against Microsoft's $69 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard. This plan was announced by the FTC (PDF) themselves on September 26, 2023.
