Celebrate 50 years of hip hop... in Call of Duty?

A couple of major hip hop superstars are coming soon to a Call of Duty near you. The official Call of Duty Twitter account shared images and announcements for both Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj, showing that skins for these two artists will be coming soon to the game.

The cost of the skins is not currently known, but with Season 5 coming on August 2 it won't be long to see how much each of these skins will set you back.

The official account says that both Mr. Dogg and Ms. Minaj are being added to the game in celebration of 50 years of hip hop. Beyond these skins, players will get to hear "free War Tracks spanning three decades of culture that transcends music and gaming."

If you are at all wondering why these two artists are being added to the totally realistic war sim that is the Call of Duty franchise, I need only remind you that at the start of the month several superhero characters from The Boys were added to the game. At this point, Call of Duty is basically on that Fortnite status.

Beyond Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj, Season 5 will feature a bunch of other new content. There will be new weapons like the AN-94 assault rifle and 9mm ISO SMG. New maps such as Livestock, Petrov Oil Rig, and Harbor will be added in Season 5. Warzone 2.0 will have new locations added such as Verdansk Stadium.
